The Iowa Lakes women's soccer team defeated Scott 5-0 on Saturday. Maria Vilhena (assisted by Alexis Vasquez) scored the first goal in the 8th minute with a superb touch and strike. A few minutes after the first goal, Vasquez scored her third of the season. It was getting harder and harder for the Scott defense to contain Vilhena and Vasquez as they combined again for the third goal with a slipped pass that Vilhena finished. In the 26th minute, Vasquez scored another goal, extending the Lakers' lead to four goals. In the entire game, the Lakers moved the ball with precision and purpose and made it very difficult for Scott to gain any momentum.
